About Kamiya & Oniya

Kamiya and Oniya follow distinct visual rules that reflect their nature:

Kamiya carry a small fortune bag, each marked with a symbol that represents their blessing. A secret fortune is said to be hidden inside each bag.

Oniya do not carry fortune pouches. Consumed by inner darkness, they instead hold an object that symbolizes their emotional burden or theme.

And subtle marks reveals their essence:

These details serve as quiet visual cues, allowing each character's nature to be understood at a glance.

(SECRET)

Shinigami embodies the eternal cycle of: life → death → rebirth

He does not take life. He gently guides it toward its next beginning. In the Kamiya World, death is not an ending, but a transition. Shinigami appears at the boundary between worlds, offering peace, light, and passage to what comes next.

The circular motif on his obi, inspired by traditional Japanese temple windows (円窓), offers a quiet glimpse into the afterlife, a world visible only at the threshold between life and death.

"When death happens, life begins to shine"
