The Artist
The Artist

The creator and artist behind KAMIYA, an original character IP inspired by spirituality, symbolism, and emotional transformation.

From early childhood, Misu was drawn to visual storytelling through expressive eyes, filling notebooks with anime-inspired drawings focused on emotion and inner worlds. At a young age, Misu won a children’s writing contest for an original story centered on reincarnation, a theme that would later become foundational to KAMIYA and its exploration of life, death, and rebirth.

As a makeup artist, model, and cosplayer, Misu developed a strong sensitivity to color, form, and visual harmony, using the human body as an expressive medium. This multidisciplinary background naturally shaped KAMIYA into a universe where design, belief, and aesthetic identity converge.

Rooted in lifelong exposure to Japanese culture and Shinto-inspired symbolism, KAMIYA was born from a desire to transform emotion and spirituality into tangible forms. Each character acts as a quiet messenger, carrying meaning, memory, and reflection for the collector.

Through KAMIYA, Misu seeks to create an IP that resonates emotionally, inviting people to connect with beauty, introspection, and the unseen.

These works are the origin of my artistic language. I have been drawing since childhood, and anime-style eyes became my most natural way of expressing emotion. For me, eyes are the mirror of the soul, a space where feeling, color, and light meet. Each drawing emerges instinctively, as if it already exists within me. Through them, I explore emotional depth, subtle expressions, and the beauty of color blending and detail.

ORIGINS, EARLY WRITING

This short story, written during my early formative years, explores reincarnation and love that transcends a single lifetime. Through the figure of a rabbit who sacrifices itself to save a child, the story suggests that souls may return in different forms. This theme later became the emotional and symbolic foundation of KAMIYA.

This inner world does not end on paper. It extends into my appearance, where makeup, hair, clothing, and accessories become another canvas, a continuation of the same emotional language.

LIVING KAMIYA

This image became the foundation for Ori, an Oniya born from my personal relationship with beauty, isolation, and self-preservation.

SELF-PORTRAIT

Reflection as lived space

For me, appearance is a continuation of drawing, translating an inner world into form.

Ori gives shape to the choice of remaining within one’s own reflection, where beauty is guarded, not offered.
