I created KAMIYA inspired by kami (神): Japanese Shinto otherworldly spirits
KAMIYA are spirits born from good emotions, carry a fortune bag and bring blessings.
ONE WORLD
KAMIYA WORLD
ONIYA exist on the opposite end. These spirits do not carry fortune because they are consumed by inner darkness. Instead, hold a cursed object and bring lessons.
There is both light and darkness within us all.
WORLD STRUCTURE
The emotional structure of the KAMIYA universe
KAMIYA and ONIYA exist as mirrored counterparts, revealing how light and darkness originate from the same source. Through them, I express the duality of human emotions.
This structure allows the world to expand endlessly.
Together they form a universe meant to be discovered piece by piece.
